I have a s-plan system that has been relocated into an extenstion and all of the wiring has been relocated timer, spur etc.
There has also been a new under floor heating system (UFCH Control Pack PB970015) installed.
We are hoping to control the UFCH seperate to the CH but obviously run it off the one boiler but with there only being one switch live in the boiler i cant just put it in. Was just wondering if someone could help with a solution around this ive been looking at relays and contactors but havent got anywhere as my head it battered. many thanks any help would be appreciated.

Good idea, installing a thermostaticlly controlled zone valve

However i can presume this has prob been done from an existing radiator?

Yes this is effectively a new zone plumbed into the heating flow and return. It has its own pump, zone valve, manifold and actuator heads for the two floor areas it covers.

Thanks

each zone of the UFCH with there own stat (no programmable stats in pack). the existing CH is on a 2 channel programmer with the water.

either change the timeclock for 3 channel (could be expensive) and wire the underfloor in as a new zone or get an additional timeclock. boiler demand will end up being common for all motorised valves.

Just looked it to a 3 channel programmer and yes that looks like the best and easiest way around the situation. Found one for ÂŁ80 which aint too bad i suppose. Feel like a right dumb --- now tho cause i didn't think about that :6: lol.
thanks very much lads and if i wasted anyones time. Cheers Chris

There are no dumb questions asked on here,we all help each other out, thats what separates this forum from other less popular ones,a big wiring centre, might also be usefull.
