You can use your MFT1553 to perform an EET. Before using this test, the earthing conductorto the earthing electrode must be disconnected at the MET.

Connect your meter swiched to loop impedance and connect it between the supply and earth electrode and do the test. the impedance reading taken will be the electrode resistance.
 
Hi, Yeah I know you can, but should only be performed if protected by an RCD, but I will not always have power available to me as I will spike ground previos to generator being on site and need to do the test with an EET.
