Is it possible to change the supply to Storage Heater sockets from Economy 7 to normal 24hr supply?
Have disposed of the old storage heaters and need the supply changed so I can use "normal" heaters.
However I do not want to get rid of Economy 7 fully as I have an Immersion Heater and a large Storage Heater with blower that I would like to keep on Economy 7.
Is this feasible?
Do I just need an Electrician to change the wiring at the consumer unit to 24hr supply?
Cheers, John.

It's certainly possible to change the supply to the E7 consumer unit to a 24 hour supply, but things are complicated by the remaining storage heater and the water heating.
There are a few ways to solve this. The cables to the discarded storage heater points could be moved to the existing 24 hour CU, if there's enough spare wire to do this, and sufficient space in the CU to accommodate new circuits (doesn't need one spare way for every circuit). The two E7 circuits that are still required can be connected to a small new CU, fed by the existing E7 tails, or the water heater and storage heater can be fitted with individual time switches.
If not already, the new socket circuits will need RCD protection.

Thank you, much appreciated!
