Hi all. I've purchased a ceiling light. It has a very long power cable and an adjustable steel cable to suit the height you want it set at. My question I need the light to hang at half the cable length. Rather than cutting the power cable to length, can I just feed the excess cable into the metal ceiling plate and coil the excess cable in there? Just conscious coiled cables cause heat?1000025568.jpg

No if it fits it will be fine.
