Hi
A little advice/comment needed please.
I am looking into attic conversion and trying to use existing cable where possible (all for a suitably qualified electrician to come in and do).
Attached is a proposed layout - and my question refers to the layout for the lighting circuit for the stairwell (2 way switch) and if would be accepted for Part P approval?
I see some electrical installations have a single common line between the common poles of the switch, yet in this installation the common poles of the switches are connected to the positive and negative.

Many thanks

The method you show for the stairwell lighting is two wire two way switching, sometimes called conduit two way switching and is a valid method of wiring two way lighting.
It is probably a good idea to get used to line and neutral rather than positive and negative as this is a.c. wiring.

The other thread you have posted on is over four years old.

Hello Richard
It was a long shot - but glad you picked it up and answered!
Many thanks for the feedback.
Line and Neutral it is....!
