Was reading my OSG earlier and was suprised to see it recomends a 32amp circuit for a cooker up to 15kw.
Also says you can have multiple cookers on one circuit/isolator (which I knew)

My question is this
Can I have a 7.2kw hob through an iso on a 6mm 32a circuit then on the other side of the room a 3.5kw oven through another iso off the same circuit? according to what I read, this should be ok....
Another question....can the cable going from the first iso to the second be a 2.5mm? Its only 16a on the oven and surely this is no different to spurring off a 32a ring with a single 2.5?

Obviously on a new install I would use seeperate circuits but on this particular job its gonna be very difficult to run a new cable from the CU

Also....am I right in thinking that I shouldn't have a fixed load >13amps on a ring main? for example a 16a oven fed from a 20a dp iso on the ring....

Not my favourite publication. Use the Regs.

Don't see why not.

If it meets the fault current etc. requirements.
Why not use 4mm²?
Actually you could have the whole circuit in 2.5 on 25A mcb (or 4 on 32A)
Or do what you're suggesting and fit 25A mcb then no one can quibble.

It's only a recommendation. It's up to you to ensure the ring is balanced and not overloaded.
