Hi, this is my first post.

I am an apprentice wiring up a hot water cylinder cupboard(i think someone qualified will check it later!)
I have a 10 core cable coming from the roof for the ASHP and have fed it into the junction box, along with cables for the time switch, 3 way valve, pump, cylinder stat, diagnostic unit and the UFH heating controller.
I was just wondering what are the regs for running cables in hot water cylinder cupboards?
Do I need trunking for all the cables or maybe just the ten core, and clip the rest to the wall or tie them around the insulated pipes?

Thanks for reading.

cable tie to pipes (plastic or not) isnt good! long runs of flex is not good! clipped direct is ok or trunking! depends if u think cable may get bashed?

sorry "3 port valve", I'm not a plumber!
Its a new block of apartments with 6 ashp's on the roof.
The rest of the cables are running around the hot water cylinder cupboard.

There aren't any "long" runs of flex, just from the various valves and pumps in the cupboard. The copper pipes will be fitted with foam insulation.

best stick to clipping them if poss! try to avoid cable ties to pipes! foam ins or not ! i no its easy and neat but its classed as (not good practice) even if ive dabbled myself:) dont do as i do! do as i say my dad used to say:))
