Should main powered door holders be fitted with local RCD spurs, because of the close proximity factor?
 
Thanks for the reply, much appreciated. The manufacturer's instructions didn't cover the type of mains supply.
 
How are you running the cables?

Follow 17th Regs in regards to it - nothing in the manufactures instructions follow BS7671
 
The regs implies a normal fused spur but I asked the question because surely this is an exceptional case as power is fed to a device on a door that can be fiddled with by people.
