Magnetic Door Holders 240v/Mains Fused spur or RCD ?

Should main powered door holders be fitted with local RCD spurs, because of the close proximity factor?

Depends on how it's fed, buried >50mm cable needs RCD, trunking or surface mount no RCD required,

How are you running the cables?

Follow 17th Regs in regards to it - nothing in the manufactures instructions follow BS7671

The regs implies a normal fused spur but I asked the question because surely this is an exceptional case as power is fed to a device on a door that can be fiddled with by people.
