Hi,

I have got one job where I have to upgrade MK 20A 3 pole MCB BS3871 to 30A. The consumer unit is very old and no one selling this MCBs anymore. I have tried to ask some salvage sellers, but received "suggestions" like to install 3x single pole MCBs instead one 3 pole. I know it`s not safe. What is the best way in this situation? And not very expensive?

The actaul MCB looks like this:
MK LN 20 AMP TYPE 3 M6 415V TRIPLE 3 POLE MCB CIRCUIT BREAKER LN8820 BS 3871 | eBay

Regards

I would suggest that you either buy the one specified on your link or look at changing the board to a more modern version, usually an unlikely scenario.
You could try contacting The Fuse Company, they say they can get any breaker, though I do not know if this is true.
