Hi all,
I am preparing for my NAPIT scam 1st assessment on Friday & was wondering if I could be pointed as to what to expect?
I am happy with my inspect & test procedure I am sure but as with anything am nervous to make sure it goes well. Am also worried about the paperwork side of things?
Sure i have most of it in place & the items I told the assessor I didn't have he said not to worry about but am doing sop anyway lol

Any pointers as to what exactly it involves would be great.

Safe isolation is the main thing they are worried about.

Insurance, calabration within the 12 months and all the bits they tell you to get, H&S statement etc. They will ask you about your waste policy - just say you don't carry and leave on site (unless you have a waste licence). They will ask about how you quote (in writing) and what diary you keep (I keep on the iphone/google) and also about contracts (i use the sample off their site - simple and good). Re questions. Its not a memory test like the 2391 so if you dont know the max zs for a bs 60898 B rated at 32A then just know where to find, same with part p. Hope this helps a bit.
Regards, David

Don't worry about it, unless you try and kill the assesor or something along them lines you will not fail.

But just ensure you have everything they ask you need like PL insurance, BGB, OSG etc. Or you will be asked to prove you have them after the assesment.

if you have paid your fees you will pass easily, dont matter what your work looks like lol

Haha is it really as bad as that, make you wonder why they get to police us, don't get me wrong the easier it is happy days as i am confident in that i aim to do a correct & safe job every time & do, its electric, the one thing that is for sure is it is to be respected. But if its that easy for people to pass it makes you wonder the point in these scams anyway ;-(
