There,s no doubt buddy your are right, but for some reason local authorities are loyal to the NICEIC and consider the other schemes amateure, I hope this will change soon as I would go with the cheapest and many others too I suspect, but the NICEIC seem to have won over the main men in the local councils and are in pole position, and have been for several years now.

Yes and you usually have to have your company details on the Alito Procurement website, or whatever they call themselves these days.

i understand what your sayin Mike....and as you i would always opt for the cheapest as far as the scams are concerned......i just dont think its right that the NIC are regarded as above all else....
anyway, i thought all this had been stopped?....

The niccy also are the leading electrical safety body for petrochem and hazardous areas, and they also have written a number of publications that offer support and help remove the ambiguity of the UK codes of practice.
