EICR, Tns supply, 60A fuse. 16mm tails, Main earth 10mm, gas & water bonds 6mm. Code 2?
Guess it's the fact that the supplier's earth to the MET is only 10mm that's making me feel the Code 2 is harsh!

can't see any reason for a code at all.

I'm fairly new to this side of things, but shoving my face in whenever possible to try and learn. My thoughts are a 16mm cable will carry 87A clipped direct which is more than enough for the 60A fuse. Table 54.7 says that a 16mm line conductor needs a 16mm protective conductor, but it's also possible to calculate the required size (but since we don't know the prospective fault current I can't have a pop at working this out). Then looking at 544.1.1 for the main bonding, this states that 6mm is fine where not PME conditions.

So assuming the adiabatic checks out, I'm with Tel - what is the reason for any code?

(P.S. If I've gone wrong somewhere, happy to be corrected :) )

Yikes, I'm glad I asked! I've completely "mis-remembered" Reg 544.1.1. As you have all said, no reason for any Code. Adiabatic calls for 6mm (first standard size for unprotected conductor) so the 10/6mm are fine.
I must spend more time re-reading the Big Yellow:dunce2:

one has to try these days. getting cynical in my old age.

Don't need to know the PFC to conduct the adiabatic equation.
Just use the tabulated values in BS7671.
