Hugely grateful for any advice. As part of our kitchen refit, we want to install an induction hob which is 32 amps. We have a 45 fused spur for oven and hob. Our oven is 14 amps. The induction hob takes us to 46 amps, 1 amp over. First electrician says we either need to rewire the kitchen to accommodate new hob or replace the oven with 13 amp version and use the existing fused spur.
The second electrician says we can use the 45 amp fused spur, because we'd never in practice use 46 amps unless we had all four hobs on max while doing a pyrolytic clean with the oven (very unlikely) and would be happy to sign off the work. Who's right?
Thanks
