Hi guys
When periodically testing a property what depth do you test the system?
Is it the same as an install? tests all points (exceptions to ones that can be access) and does the test sequence have to be followed from GN3. Dead test then live tests.
Thank you

An EICR is inspected to a depth appropriate to the state of the installation and the results of the initial and following inspections as determined by the inspector.
The installation is tested to the described extent at 100%, less any general, discovered or specified limitations as identified in the extent and limitations section.
The test sequence from GN3 is a good guide to the testing procedure but the experienced electrician can see that an already energised installation may permit variances from the test sequence.

I start at around 40% of all points, if i start finding problems then begin digging deeper, if its all A1 im happy to leave it at that

I usually get a good feeling within the first few minutes of visually inspecting an installation as to the standard and condition
