Hi fellas I am looking to know about issuing a cert for a petrol station forecourt.I know that it is a hazardous area and I think that I may have to do a course if I want to issue the cert so would anyone know about qualifications and is there a separate governing body for such work

Not only will you have to do a Relevant Compex course you will have to prove to your insurer that you have experience and competence to work in such an area.

Petrol stations are monitored by Local Authority Petroleum Officers.
They are distant relatives to a small German man.

Definitely need to ring your insurance before taking this job on, we did a few months work for a supermarket chain of petrol stations. I had to pay just over £500 extra on my public liability and employers liability. Don't forget they'll want to see you spa card so if you don't have one in date that's going to cost you aswell

sub it out then and take a percentage.
