does anybody offer this service ? My mate owns a scaffold company and asked me if i could install systems on the odd job for him. What are the best systems to use ? And how easy or hard are they to install

I'm an ex-scaffolder getting back into electrical installations.

From my previous experience an alarm we had installed on the front of a building only which consisted of a wireless alarm panel connected to two wireless PIR's housed in botched adaptable boxes which where then zip tied to the scaffolding tubes. One was pointed in the general direction of the ladder access point and the other facing the other direction to give full coverage of the working platform. They were powered by batteries.

This was from a nationwide scaffold alarm company which I found a very poor installation but ive got no other reference to go from.

Hope this helps.

"Ebony and ivory live together in perfect harmony" - not dumb and Dumber then?

a couple of builder's buckets, filled with water/cement mix slurry , top of scaffold, tipped up by trip wires.

Sorry Pete, thought you were joking. The problem you have with scaffolding is that although it looks solid, it moves / flexes in the wind & with passing traffic.

No worries mate, there are some that you can adjust to sense footfalls etc.
