Start device with timer.

Hi there
Im looking for some sort of electrical box with a start button and behind a timer you can set for X hours every time the start button are activated.
I plan to put them on out door fans so they dont run all day and night because people dont turn them off.
Do any of you know of such a device ?

Hello from sunny London. Yes such devices do exist. The first question is on the outdoor fans - can you provide some details on them or a link? That way I can look up the electrical details of the fan to then suggest the correct product. If you do not have the details could you send a picture of the fan and also of its specification plate?

How long to you want the run period to be?

What is the minimum run time?

Is the time control adjustment knob to be out of reach so once set only the button is used?

Do you want to be able to press a button to stop the fan before the run period has expired?

Is the control to be inside or outside and will it be exposed to water?
