Hi All,
Apologies if thais topic has been covered elsewhere, which i'm sure it has but I am still unclear of the facts.

I am a 31 year old who was forced to make a career change (after redundancy) into the electrical industry and would like some advice.
I was conned into taking one of the quick courses that promised the earth and delivered nothing and then the training company went bust leaving me with nothing to show for it.

Since then I have taken some qualifications independently (17th Edition, PAT Testing, Full Scope Part P, CSCS Card).

I am looking to take on electricians mates jobs but am unsure if I need to be registered with JIB?
Do i need to complete my NVQ Level 2 and 3 to get electricians mates jobs?
Will people take me on without JIB card?

Thanks for all your help- I am tearing my hair out trying to get answers.

you should be fine as a mate. a lot of mates have nothing except a cscs card, so you're in with a fighting chance over the opposition.
