just been to college open day to look in starting a course on the electrical enginnering side even saw me old college lecturer on the 2330

been told itl be 4 years in college and uni 2 years in college and 2 years at uni or 5 years in total for an honour degree and been told the cost will be around a grand a year and will also have to have a maths bridging course

im on a low income with just under 12 grand a year with 1 child and another on the way and in full time employment due to the ressesion ive had 2 pay cuts over the last 2 years if any of you been to uni or have kids that go or starting to go uni can anyone help in advice on where to go to see if im eligible to apply for grants or loans for college courses

rather stupidly i forgot to ask while i was at the open day

thanks

The HNC itself is only 2 years and costs around £600 - £800 per year.

The ad-on's to this will give you the HND and then BSc at degree level.

As for the grants I havn't a clue, sorry.

as your on low income and would prob be in reciept of tax credits or simmilar you would be entitled to course costs being waived, however this was pre new government so may have to check on current status
