Evening all.
EICR done on ground floor flat all electric no gas, flats built 2006, no rcd protection on circuits 1 to 8 - lighting, kitchen appliance sockets , immersion ,panel heaters and towel rail, 3 storage heaters via contactor and rcd control 2nd immersion, general sockets, all cables installed within metal stud plaster boarded walls, 3 points that are visible show no grommets and butchered holes in metal frame with cables down to accessories , no supplementary bonding through out bath room. All insulation readings clear as a bell.

C2 no rcd protection on towel rail, bath room light and fan, shaver point and cables within metal stud,
Or C3 improvement

C2 for no RCD for any bathroom circuits where there's no supp.boding.
C2 for cables in metal stud with no RCD.
C2 for kitchen sockets, no RCD.
C3 for no RCD lighting circuit/s.

DB change then , told me gaffa this and was told it was wired to previous regs so it passes 14 apartments wired like that. Am I right in saying early 17th edition regs .
 
late 16th. irrespective of whether it complied the, your EICR is to determine if anything is dangerous or not. you inspect to current regs. any C1 or C2 issues must be rectified to get asatisfactory report.

Your boss had a worrying outlook. How many other 'successful' EICRs has he done like this I wonder?

But as @telectrix said you consider it relative to the current regas and code any discrepancies based on the sort of risk they present from C1 to C3.

For an installation that is good to its original standard then the usual issues are the lack of RCD protection, the risk from that of course depends very much on the details of what the circuits are and where they power. But also the occasional unexpected points such as immersion heaters without a safety cut-out thermostat to BS EN 60335-2-73
