Hi,
Our company was set up almost a year ago to install Solar PV systems.

As you are all obviously aware, the Government then decided to tear the **** out of the then very lucrative FiT rates. Now I am aware that because of the drop in PV equipment prices the returns are now again an attractive offer but as a company we decided not to push the PV side of our business any more and concentrate on our other skill sets to keep us turning over a profit.

We have now been approached to install a few systems in the next few weeks (obviously because of the August 1st cut off point) so could someone help point me in the right direction (as i'm a little out of the loop) for the most cost effective (not cheapest) but all round good value panels available, prefereably 250W and in Black and stockists.

Also we would require a mounting kit which is also relaible, good value for money and maybe a dealer that could provide us both.

We have access to inverters at a price we are more than happy with as well as a stock of sundries that will see out our planned installs.

Thanks for reading and hopefuly i'll get some ideas soon.

You could try Spitfire. They do 250w ET Solar panels in black. Cost effective and they look the part. They also have a few different options for mounting equipment.

best looking 250wp all black are solarworld 31mm superb looking panels or sunpower

HJSolar HJM250M-32-BL Black framed solar panels are inexpensive and handsome with a

low solar panel thermal coefficient (0.42) and perform well in low light and bright light

conditions.

The black central squares aren't as prevalent as HJSolars datasheet photo suggests.

It is a black solar panel, with visible vertical metallic contact lines.

For a sub £200 panel you will struggle to find better.

HJSolar HJM250 Black framed solar panels are inexpensive, have a fairly low thermal coefficient and perform well in low light conditions.

We are starting to use these panels for those very reasons, only downside to them is HJ Solar are not a big company so no guarantee they will eba round to honour their warranties

HJ Solar are a very large company (in china) product is sold under three different brands :) We've used shed loads of it, and can get plenty more of it if needed :)

Not that I am aware of, the panels are a fractionally different size / shape, and the electrical characteristics are somewhat different.

The HJ's also have a particularly high voltage.

the high voltage is particuarly advantagous as it can work with even 3 panels on a SB 1200 and with 8 panels can connect to a 3600 TL inverter meaning the effiency is in the 96 % range rather than 94-95% range with standard 1 m by 1.65 metre panels which have a volateg of 31 volts

Best mounting system we use is Lock Solar, anti theft cyclone tested and piece of **** to install. Panel wise Canadian solar or noble nsi250 in black look **** hot.
