Hi all
whent to a thatched cottage to wire 2 x lights in MI and this circuit was fed from a fused spur off the ring main ! now my question is how do i fill in the certificate ? easy i here you shout.

thanks
john

MEIWC is the cert.

I would do your tests on your sub circuit and fill that in on your cert, as that is your work. Remember though a 3 amp BS 1362 fuse Zs is 16.4 ohms for a 0.4sec disconnection time, and the MCB for the socket circuit is much less than that.

I would also do the Zs for that socket circuit and mark that down on the comments part of the existing installation
