Hello

Im confused, thats not hard though. Working in France(dont read too much into that), they give specific guidelines to follow so you dont have to do cable calcs and can just follow the tables. However theres something im not happy about. In their guidelines for cable lengths(to allow for a 2% VD) for a 36KVA 3 phase system they say for a 16mm² cable the max run you can have is 52m per phase. But for a 12KVA single phase system with 16mm² cable its only 27m.
Can anyone explain to me or at least point me in the right direction so I can figure it out as to why this is please? Because as far as I can see you allowed a maximum of 51.9A per phase with the 36KVA 3 phase system and 52.2A on the single phase system. Very similar. So how can nearly twice the cable length be allowed?
By the way I dont have any of my books out here and cant check this is out yet.
Thanks and I await your beratings
