Got a machine at a job rated at 32A Max, I believe that it will be fine on a 32amp commando interlocked socket but i have been requested to fit a 63amp?
Does anyone else think it should be overrated to 63amp, considering its backed at the board by a 32Amp opd.

It would be ok on a 32A but if you've been asked to fit a 63A then thats what needs fitting

The 63a is only the rating of the plug, if you are fused down at source, then no problems.
