Discuss aico mains wired interlinked/radio linked smokes and heat detectors in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Can be confusing, some of the blurb seems to indicate that the alarms have a ten year life, now you could think this includes the battery on the 3000 series, but it does not, they only have a life of about four months, they have to be mains connected.

Oh crikey I have just seen the date of the previous post.

There’s a 3 word minimum on any post. If he had just typed “resurrection” the forum wouldn’t let him post.

There are ways to get round this, of course

The reason for the resurrection of this thread is that I am installing a few of the 3000 series in our UK house and just thought I would see if there is anything hidden in the instructions that I can't gleam from the documentation, looking through it seems not, but I did make the mistake of pushing the wrong button on the TLC site and I now have 100M of black 1mm three core when I only need about 15m, anyone want to buy some, or collect, I'm in Kent at the moment?
