just wondering if it might be an idea to have a forum on this. i just had to troll the net for a forum re. an electrical fault on missus's car. ended up on a renault forum, got the advice. basically, i had a good idea of what the fault was, but had no idea of where to access the faulty part. got it sorted, but glad dod not go to renault dealer. their price for the part only was £90, 1 hour's labour @£85 + VAT. i got the part (ebay) for £24, and it took less than an hour to fit, once i knew where to find it.

I just transferred my old stereo into my new car, the local dealer wanted 60 quid just for the harness leads needed, got them both off ebay for less than 6 quid!

Please don't take this the wrong way( I am certainly not having a dig at Tel) ,but the amount of times I read threads on here from people asking advise and being told about the amount of time and years of experience it takes sparks to learn their trade and electricians livelihood being threatened and yet here we go someone wants to do the same to another trade. How does this make us look to the diyer asking his questions. ( safety issues aside) Tin hat on, I am out for an hour or two but will TRY and defend myself on return

whilst i agree with that statement, if I can help anyone on here I certainly will. whether it be a simple post, through pm for a little more detail, or even Skype/text/phone if need be I'm happy to help. Been a motor technician for over 11 years working on just about everything, so may as well help if I can!

don't really see many posts on here asking for help to be fair. only this one last month
