Hi all, I just joined the forums but appear to only have permission to post to the introduction forum rather than anywhere else, so if the moderators are watching this, could you please move to an appropriate one? Thanks!

We have a shaver socket in our bathroom which has never worked, despite being tested and there being a current running through it.

Now, I'm wondering if I will need to buy a new shaver socket unit to replace, or if I can just replace the transformer (or get a registered electrician to do so).

Should I try to post some photos of the units?

thanks for your help!

if there's power into the unit and nothing out, easiest solution is to replace the shaver socket. all depends on how the power to it has been tested. best get a local sparks to fix.
