Hello... Currently installing the sub mains for 4 flats. All flats are feed with 25mm swa, all single phase.

The election board have installed their meter and cut outs.

What method do you use to terminate the swa?

1. Install a galvanised trunking to make the ends off and then run in to the cut out?
2. Installed a metal din rail contaiment enclosure and use 25mm tails to connect into the cut out?
3.. Any other way you've done it.

I once attended a block of flats that was installed in your methods either 1 or 2. I told them I would have to isolate a third of the building at least to work on the one flat. Have a think about it.

Trunking and run it in to cut out I would.

Without a switch fuse you will be relying on the DNO fuse..... Bit of a no no if the 25mm swa to each flat is longer than the maximum length permitted by the DNO usually 2-3 meters. Gland each 25mm swa in to a suitably rated switch fuse for each flat then tails from switch fuse to meter.

As Lee says above. A metal clad switch fuse would be suitable. The bigger Wylex ones have plenty of space in them. Think they are model number 110M or something like that.
