Can anyone give me a couple of pointers about installing the MK Grid wiring

About to put in a bank of 6 switches for large lounge - it looks simple enough but just wondered what back box (pattress ?) needs using , also any experiences on number of dimmers that can be used in the same grid

MK Grid Flush boxes are 3 digit numbers, i.e 891, whilst surface boxes are 5 digit numbers such as K8891. You need the 6/8 one You could have 6 dimmers if you liked. Handy table here for loads http://help.tradingdepot.co.uk/electrical/mk/grid-plus-tech.pdf

It may pay you to go for a grid system for such as the " MK logic grid plus" system. Use with mains tungsten lighting and low voltage (transformer) systems

As far as how many they could all be dimmers

I think MK state only 5 dimmers per module, regardless of rating.

You may need a 12 way Grid for 6 dimmers the reason for this is that some of the MK grid dimmers are 2 module depending of the wattage of the dimmer if im correct its anything above 250 watts is a 2 module but i may be mistaken
