Hi all

Just wondering what kind of rates you guys would expect if doing price work on installing central hearing systems. Bonding has to be upgraded if not there and all main earths 16mm regardless of supply due to the contract. Combi, y and s plan prices please. Also please add for the need to run a new spur in if power not available by boiler.

Cheers

combi £75 y/s plan £90, thats what i was getting paid, regardless if i was there 1 hour or 5 hours, van and materials supplied, doing 12-14 jobs mon-fri.

No. Just if there wasnt 10mm to gas and water. Do the radiator if its easy enough. Trunking looks a mess in an expensive tiled bathroom

the gas i do my best, but always internal runs under floors and trunking in corners, sometimes point of entry for external meters but if its just a case of drilling throught the wall and into the meter box ill do that. the water can be a right pain, ive had stop taps outside half way down the back yard and stuff but that gets done anywhere really as long as there isnt any visable plastic elbows or t's. to be honest if its going to look bad for the customer and a pain for me it will get done in a suitable place, i wont spend more than 2 hours bonding, i have a job to do aswell...

I used to get £150 a y plan, £90 a combi I supplied the cable they supplied the controls. On a good day 3 combi or 2 y plan, all I had to bond was the bathroom. If the main bonding needed doing it was £80 a bond at the time. That was about 8 years ago
