Crabtree bs 3871 MCBs

Does anyone know if you can still get the Crabtree C50 MCBs bs 3871 (single phase) that are genuine and not second hand. If not do you know of an mcb that can be retrofitted into the old distribution boards.

Most wholesalers will have some still knocking around, especially the smaller/independant ones.

Whether or not it's acceptable to fit one of those things these days is another question entirely

Well that what I was thinking but just read in the NICEIC snags and solutions inspection and testing book that they are perfectly acceptable as long as the circuit meets the maximum permitted zs of the mcb.

Does it specifically say that about magnetic-hydraulic breakers or was it referring to thermal-magnetic breakers?

The c50 breakers do have quite a low Ka rating. If memory serves me 3ka(white)....4.5ka(yellow).

Didn't think the older C50 were colour distinguished.
