Thanks, lee

As Tel says. You've got your foot in the door and many would like to be in that position. Industrial is where it's at and it'll be great for your CV when that 'perfect' job comes along. Grab those courses, show the willingness then when you've got your quals you'll be able to do what you want.

Honestly lads, I don't want to work in factory for the rest of my life, no disrespect to anyone that does but it isn't for me and for qualifications my work place doesn't give me any I would love it if they did though haha

Why would you want to change from industrial to Domestic? Normally it's the other way around! Anyways not all industrial work means working out of factories... It gives you avenues and experience to chase the big bucks.

Lee the prospects in domestic now are so low and the market is saturated with quick skip domestic courses that it's no longer the attractive career it used to be, like it or not Industrial is the way to go and many sparkies struggle to get even a foot in the door, you're in a very good position of already in that door and if as above you can upgrade your knowledge to cover machinery, plc programming and electrical engineering in the future then you have a very fruitful future and guaranteed career ahead with good prospects and salary... if you're happy to exchange your position here that most would give their right arm for then that's your call and I'll respect your choice but do your homework first about the different sectors and the opportunities that lie within them.
