There's nothing wrong with it, the electrician 'installed' the bag on the fire detector because the heat or smoke from the DB below was causing it to alarm. After complaints from the other tenants about the noise of the pressurization fans in the stairwells this was his answer to the problem.
 
There’s hope for me yet.
If I hadn’t got the correct crimper, I’d have got the gas torch out and sweated the lugs. What the hell did he use?

Well at least i was partly right, it was causing someone a problem, now the actual reason for it being a problem, ...is another classic!!! lol!!!

I must say i really like these picture even i wunt do this stuff and im not even fully qualified haha and I always thought that the building regs say that a socket has to be at least 500mm away from a sink
