I looked at an old ESP Entryview 3 Multi system this morning with a faulty monitor unit, doorbell in one flat not working. After connection check both ends, and swapping two ports didn't result in a doorbell working I gave up.
As far as I can tell I haven't a hope of getting a compatible spare monitor these days, but would love someone to prove me wrong.
Also, it's wired in 8 core (not cat5) all back to external unit. A rewire would be extremely difficult.
Q2 - Any suggestions for any modern system that doesn't need cat5, and isn't a bus system would be gratefully accepted.
Thanks.
