[TD="class: alt1, bgcolor: #FFFFFF"]Hi Guys,

New to the forum....

I set up my business in August 2012 running my own electrical firm concentrating on Domestic & Commercial, I have come up short as of late and I'm wondering if my prices have been fair, I never had an hourly rate as such just used to try and make enough that I was happy....

Can anyone pass on any information as to what they charge maybe per hour or per job? Or how they calculate their prices....I'm based in Hampshire, United Kingdom.

Many Thanks

Pricing is one of those things you get the hang of over time bit like fault finding.. If your quoting £100 an hour and not getting work then drop your prices.. on the other hand if your quoting £100 hour and getting every job you get up your price.. The £100 is an example but you get the picture.

Rewire rates different to the rates for putting up a light fitting

Hello mate. Dont think many on here would publish hourly rates on public forum due to competitors noticing and undercutting them etc. You need to consider wage, profit margin, travel time, overheads, holiday pay, etc etc.
