Customer wants to sub-meter some circuits.

Existing situation is a 3 phase DB supplied by SWA, with 12 single phase circuits. 10 circuits are integral to the building and need to be metered for the tenent and 2 circuits feeding outbuildings which don't need to be metered.

Options are:
1) Meter the DB and then sub meter 2 circuits via a garage DB (maybe) - difference between the 2 will be charged to tenent 2 meters required 1 x 3 phase and 1 x single phase

2) Take supply from existing DB (63A probably) then put this into a new single phase DB (with integeral meter) and feed 10 circuits.

All a bit messy really, anyone have any other bright ideas?

option 1. seems the most cost effective.

Fit a split board and then put a Din rail mount 3ph meter in an expansion box or separate housing, use CT's to clamp only the tails to the section of the board you want to monitor.... 1meter job done.... simples.
