its the plumbers version so you would need to buy the sparky formers eg 20,25,32 etc

Price up the individual bits to complete it and compare it to a brand new one.

I think I would go for the EL instead of the CM version as that is made for steel galv. Good price though. The roller part on the steel version is hour glass shaped as opposed to cylindrical as in that one.

Okay thanks. I will leave it then as I was going to put a bid on it but to buy the formers, guides and the vice is really expensive.

So what version would I need the EL25?

Yes the EL25 but search for Hilmor conduit bender. I have two of them I am thinking of selling one but I am a long way from Liverpool. You can find them on ebay for about £275 refurbished and more importanly, delivered.

There is two in Machine Mart:

Irwin Hilmor EL25 Portable Electricians Stand Bender - Machine Mart - Machine Mart - https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/irwin-hilmor-el25-portable-electricians-stand/?da=1&TC=GS-051210700&gclid=CjwKCAiAqaTjBRAdEiwAOdx9xl8ge9zHrKKQNFzQUSmv9kjWX8UCirksBoa6z4YAP_K-crV3qMitHhoCTasQAvD_BwE

Irwin Hilmor CM35 Portable Plumbers Stand Bender - Machine Mart - Machine Mart - https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/irwin-hilmor-cm35-portable-plumbers-stand-bend/

I will have a look on eBay. But as they are quite heavy postage is always quite high.

I got one for £90 last week. New vice jaws and in decent nick. Just needs painting.

Still cheaper than that. Postage is around £28 which still is cheaper

It is I will have a look on eBay and a number or different websites. What’s the difference between the two on machine mart?

Hilmor pipe bender, said I'd post a pic when I painted it so...... - https://www.electriciansforums.co.uk/threads/hilmor-pipe-bender-said-id-post-a-pic-when-i-painted-it-so.121612/
Yeh I bought one for £20 and the thread shows what it became under my loving care.
This thread is what it was so it shows you not to be worried about the condition and there is someone on ebay that supplies at a reasonable cost all the parts.

That is curious the links for ebay don't work and they have a smiley in the middle of them. Don't know where the smiley came from? Maybe forum mods could explain?

The original one I posted went for £75. Which is a great price shame it wasn’t the EL version. I’ve watched a few of the ones that have been posted so hopefully I can get a bargain.

That’s the one, grab it if you win the auction. And don’t lose it on site OR let Spin anywhere near it!
I slowly assembled mine from various sites I’ve worked on.
The stop was the first thing I obtained.
Spin, I thought more of you! How big was your bag when you were ‘taking’ the frame off site!

Didn’t win it. I will just have to keep an eye out or get a new one.
