Had a call from a mate saying that he was going through 1361 fuses regularly. Haven't seen the job yet, but asked some basic questions about fittings and evidence of shorting etc. He says no.
It might sound stupid, but my understanding is that 1361's blow when an exsessive curent is demanded usually by a dead short between L/N. If it were a fitting, it would show signs of damage etc.
As it is an intermittent fault, My bet would be on the cable or a hidden transformer of kitchen lights (he thinks the kitchen has 12v downlighters).
My approcah would be isolate transformers, pull lamps and insulation resistance test.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks
