Metal clips

With regard to amd 3.. Does clips above a plasterboard celing above a doorway need metal clips or does it only apply below fire barrier but above doors?

Anything above a plasterboard ceiling is fine with normal plastic clips. The new reg talks about 'withstanding a premature collapse'. A plasterboard ceiling will give some degree of fire protection, thus preventing the cables falling down and blocking the exit.
