so what mods have to be done? would these work with a 5 zone UFH system?

depends really, does the system use actuators or a zone valve? as long as you know how a heating system functions you should be fine with a nest setup, mind you with 5 zones its going to cost upwards of £1250. i havent used heatmiser so i cant comment on it

Yes but you'd have to buy 5 nest thermostats.
