Gents, i'm looking to cost a few new build residential developments in the near future, 30plus homes, and i'm looking for a price per metre for the electrical install, im currently at £30 per m, houses are midlands based.
Any help appreciated.

Are you trying to give a square meter price or per meter of supply cabling? Wouldn't you be safer pricing per point?

no i'm trying to quote for multiple properties and i'm looking for the going rate for square meterage price, whch I have currently between £26-£30

I'd guess this would depend on many things such as type of housing, spec of the installation and finishes such as switches, skts etc. Maybe more details will get you a more accurate figure. I don't do residential so I'm not sure if this way of quoting is the norm, I'm sure other members will give you some pointers but I can't help thinking there's a lot of scope for coming short on this method of pricing.

Price one from detailed specifications and drawings and divide the cost by the given floor area ?

Asking for a random figure off an internet forum for a tender for 30 houses is a bit of a gamble don't you think ?
