I am not any techie in anyway, just stumbled across this forum. I have a BG UP2 controller. The hot water is working fine. This morning I wanted to switch the heating on, outside of the normal hours. The arrow will not move from the off position. Would anyone suggest a new controller, or something more. Help please, I'm getting cold now

Hi kitty welcome to the forum.

Do you have a picture of the arrow? I assume everything is working as intended if the water is heating up okay. So I doubt it's even a controller issue it'll probably just be a setting.

If the little dash does not move it will be the controller, these controllers are very easy to change.
Buy a exact replacement(drayton LP), turn off the electric, loosen the 2 screws under and then tilt upwards to remove, install new one in reverse order
