I have completed my 2330 and got my nvq level 2, this was through a college/city and guilds.
Now I work on site full time and am doing my nvq/portfolio and am preparing to do my AM2, the only problem and is the college is unreliable, unhelpful and are messing me about. Due to my location of work/living I am a long way from the college and my work hours mean I have to use some of my very limited holiday if I was to go and try and sort something at the college with no gaurente of a assessor being there at all.
This has forced me to look elsewhere and consider a Eportfolio, can anybody please let me know,

To get the NVQ 3:
1, is an eportfolio recognised as giving the nvq 3 so i am fully qualified
2, is a onsite visit still required ( the college are reluctant sending somebody as i work so far away)
3, will i be required to do AM2 somewhere to become qualified still?

Basically is it worth doing the eportfolio to become recognised as a qualified electrician, (get the 2356)

also whats the differeance to the 2356 and 2382-12?

As far as I know from reading online, the beauty of the 2356 online is that you do not have to be assessed in the workplace. Also if you register before July, you would not have to sit the AM2 is my understanding of it. This would gain you a full NVQ 3.

There are a few other threads on here, where some guys have done it.

I read about these two training providers:

Electrotechnical NVQ 3, City and Guilds 2356 | Delta Electrical Training Ltd

Electrical Online Courses at XS Training - NVQ 3 Electrical at XS Training

The 2382 is the regs course, totally different but important to sit this exam to allow you to work on installations.

thanks very much for the reply, i am thinking of going with delta, just appeals to me a little more.
Yes its very hard to find exactly what each course is for a newbie like myself, been working 2 years now and am coming along nicely in the work place, however be nice to get the qualification as my boss wants me to start running my own rewires and new builds etc and the qualification is something he wants me to have before he does this which is fair enough. thanks again :D
