Hi all,

10 years ago I completed a domestic installer course and completed 17th edition and 2391 along with it. I worked as a sparky for 6 years and covered all domestic installations and maintenance. I then went on to do some agricultural installation.

I’m now working in a factory as a maintenance manager but I am missing the tools. I plan on completing the full 2365 level 2 and 3 diploma, along with NVQ3 and AM2 and going self employed.

Does anyone have any guidance on where I can study the 2365 on a distance learning basis and planning in my practicals with them so that I can really fit it around my current job?

Any help would be really appreciated as I really want to get back on the tools.

Cheers

Matt

Do you really need it of you are going self employed? With 6 years experience as a sparky and 2391 it seems a bit funny you having to go back to a level 2 install qual.

Hi,

I had no formal training on commercial/industrial work. I would also, for my own benefit, like to become FULLY qualified. I believe that I could get through the level 2 and 3 install course really quickly and for the cost of it and to satisfy my own need to follow things through fully and obtain completeness, I may aswell get stuck in and smash it out.
