PAT, or part P?

Hi there. Wich one do you recomend if you want to sing your own instalations certificates?
Whats are the main diferences betwen PAT and part P?

Part P is a building regulation, Pat is my soon to be ex sister in law.
That's the major difference.
I sing all the time too.

PAT stands for Portable Appliance Testing.
If you want to be able to issue Certification for electrical installations, then being able to test TVs, vacuum cleaners, etc. would not be much help.

I've heard of Singing Telegrams but Singing Installation Certificates is a new one on me.

Part P is a building regulation the others are numbers.



Seriously though, 2394 and 5 are the most recent inspecting and testing qualifications.

Part P is a Building Regulation.
2394/2395 are Electrical qualifications.
There are some people offering a Part P qualification, but as far as I'm aware all it relates to is understanding the Regulation.
2394/5 are qualifications for the Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations.
I believe, one is for new installations, and the other for existing.
I also believe that there were qualifications for installations up to and greater than 100A?
