Hello,

I am seeing two mini split ACs with the same cooling capacity in two different company. Both 24000 BTU and Inverter.

The first one said Rated Current is 9.56 A and didn't write Max current or current.
The second one said the Current is 9.9 A and the Rated Current is 16 A.

Does it mean the second one can draw up to 6 A more? (more electrical consumption? and more electrical bills?

Thank you

Looks like one is heat / cool
Other is cool only.

No it does not mean that. The second one is more efficient than the first one, according to EER. The 16A will refer to the size of supply. It looks like the spec sheets are a little confusing for the first one. It has a very wide voltage range so the current would vary also for an inverter driven fan and compressor.
The second one is claiming 24000BTU, whilst the first is less at 21000BTU.
A/C spec sheets can be easily manipulated by the manufacturer to give a value in optimum circumstances.

Of the two i would choose the brand that has the best reputation in your area, forget the current its neither here nor there.
