Have 15 of these to do in a patio external obviously. It's actually brick paving. I need to core a hole approx 100mm per light. My problem is I just don't know what the best way to terminate would be. Of course I'll need some sort of ip rated jb for each light but where should this go? Down below the light fitting? Under another brick beside? The fitting come supplied with a jb and about 3 feet of flex. Any thoughts?

should be fun, if the connections are screwed items then you need access, if you could crimp the connections and have a high enough ip rating you should be able to bury them. I am supprised noone else has answered this thread.
Any other ideas?
Paul

Hi
Id be tempted to make/have ducting under the slabs to each light, can you re flex the lights? maybe try and take 3 or 4 light back to one ip rated jb. i think accessibility is key here because the last thing you want is a dead light fitting and no way to get at the connections in 5yrs time.
Hope that helps
Hefin

Can you re cable the lights so that you can put them all in a radial and have the connections within the fittings. This will make life a lot easier at install and also later if you need to pull them out for any reason. if you can't, then cut the cable near its outlet on the body of the fitting, crimp a longer length to it, seal it all up with silicone sealant, and heatshrink it all. that should keep out the wet unless its submerged.

Cheers.........Howard

the lights im looking at have mounting sleeves with a in/out termination, how did you get on cutting the paving brick???? i will also pipe to each mouting sleeve and leave enought flex on it so can be pulled out and worked at easily
