put in first shaver socket after all these years and custumer is saying that it has a low level hum when some thing is pluged in ,now i would say this is normal due to the isolating transforma with in. going to look at end of week but am i right in my feelings

It probably only hums when his shaver is plugged in!! :)

And switched on.

Buy him some razor blades....:)

I would try MK or crabtree if that cures it return the original.
Get one from B&Q etc, they have no problem with returns.

electric avenue, are friends electric lol

i would suggest changing the fitting as Mike p said
