Correct however we are required to follow it on sites we work on.
If not then the building inspector will have us move any accessories that don’t follow the guide so it’s best we follow it ,as compliance with it is not difficult

Hi all sorry for the late reply I'm going to remove the socket it's on a pattress on the wall . There are a lot of mixed reviews on the subject and I think the best option is to remove it.
