Touring Caravan dno connection

Hi there im after some advice, I’m thinking of creating a 5 pitch touring caravan site 32 amps per pitch can use a standard 100 amp supply single phase from my dno.
I need to tell my contact at western Power Distribution how big a supply I need.
Can anyone help.

Touring caravan pitches normally have a 16a supply at each pitch. A 100a supply will be adequate at 16a per pitch. You will need to separate the earthing system if the supply is TNCS, and refer to section 7 of Bs7671 as there are strict regulations on caravan site installations.

Thank you for the information, but all the touring caravan owners I know all say they need 32amp supplies.

They might like it but don't need it. 16A is standard. Although it doesn't explicity state "no diversity", how 708.55.1.5 reads, "the current rating of the socket outlets shall not be less than 16A" certainly implies that, which makes sense, as the demand from each caravan is likely to be similar at the same times of day/night.

In the OP's position, I'd be inclined to create 4 x standard 16A hookups and 1 x 32A hookup, possibly to a larger plot, to receive a larger caravan with a higher price tag.

you find most statics normally over load on some sites think they are at home on the range .

It is a long time since I had anything to do with touring parks , but the most famous one only supplied 16 amp hook up on their sites .
And true to form they were used to the max .
Touring vans have electric stored hot water and blown air electric heating now too. The demand is higher now so look to be resetting the breakers regularly.

I'm one of those touring caravan thingy-ma-bobbers, and I've never seen anything other than 10A and 16A, a 50/50 mix of both it seems in my experience. My caravan only has 2 x 10A breakers so a 32A feed is pointless.

Hi mate, alright, just bloody busy constantly it seems. Doing 60 hour weeks at the minute (on top of studying for my degree) - I went cards in to get back to a 9-5, but fat luck with that! My missus isn't complaining when she sees my pay slip each month at least.
